Goblincore is an earthy aesthetic surrounding the raw aspects and simple activities within nature

Pockets jammed with bottle caps, old coins, and pretty rocks collected from the riverbed. A sketchbook full of stamps, fruit stickers and mushroom drawings in colored pencil. A heart bursting with love and adoration for the forest’s glistening underbelly and all that dwell within.

Goblincore Glossary:

I. (Going/Gone) Feral (verb): In a state of freedom and extreme excitement over something or nothing; may include jittering and “frothing at the mouth” (see V.)

II. Hoard (verb): To collect

III. Mushies (plural noun): Mushrooms

IV. Scavenge (verb): To search for or collect

V. Frothing at the Mouth (verb): Extremely eager for something exciting

VI. Gremlin (noun): One who enjoys being dirty, wild, feral (see I.) and scavenging (see IV.)

VII. Shines (plural noun): Small, shiny objects- typically metal- ex: coins, jewelry, charms

If you feel love for swamps, dirt, crunchy leaves, feral cats, moss, old coins, fingerless gloves, horseshoes, terrariums, fungi, mushrooms, loose buttons, toads, bones, and ceramic mugs full of warm herbal tea, then goblincore loves you too.
